Ataraxy is the least calm-sounding word for tranquility I've come across so far. Like pulchritude, which sounds to me like ugliness, ataraxy sounds to me like a medical condition characterized by convulsions. I'm willing to admit that I draw the connection probably because of a number of letters similar to paroxysm.

I am easily amused. That being the case, I was very amused with a discovery I made yesterday. The Plug. It's some guy's weird web publication of crazy hilarious things. The other day for the first time I focused on the completed swanky condos on Bronson that replaced the gross high school that housed my junior kindergarten. I guess I hadn't been in the area in a long time, since I don't recall seeing the finished product before.
